Fundamental Physical Constants

The physical constants are those compiled by Cohen and Taylor [1973a, 1973b] under the auspices of the CODATA (Committee on Data for Science and Technology of the International Council of Scientific Unions) Task Group on Fundamental Constants and officially adopted by CODATA. The astronomical constants are those compiled by Commission 4 of the International Astronomical Union and adopted at the 1976 IAU meeting in Grenoble [Muller and Jappel, 1977], The uncertainties are the lo standard deviation expressed in parts per million (ppm). Additional constants are listed in Appendix K (Conversion Factors), Appendix L (Solar System Constants), Allen [1973], and Rossini [1974],
