Two-fifths of the number density rests with the single white dwarf in the sample (G259-21, also known as Gl 699.1), so the space-density of halo subdwarfs in the range 5 < Mv < 12 is 1.2 x 10-4 stars pc-3; or a number ratio relative to disk dwarfs in the same absolute magnitude range of —1:350.3 Allowing for statistical limitations, there appear to be no radical differences between the shapes of the halo and disk luminosity functions (Figure 10.10).
