The leading observer is Andreas Alzner who operates a 32.5-cm Cassegrain (Figure 20.8) and 35-cm Newtonian in an observatory at Hemhofen, just outside Erlangen. The telescopes are equipped with both RETEL and van Slyke filar micrometers and a Méca-Précis doubleimage micrometer.

pairs, down to 0.25'', including also some of the first measures of Hipparcos discoveries from the ground.
