Dark Count Rate

The measured dark count rate for each array element, obtained by using a bias voltage of 20% above the breakdown and a 6 ^s hold-off time, is mapped in Fig. 4. At room temperature only two elements are outside the 3-sigma limits of the mean value of about 3000 counts/s, and thus measures show that the dark rate is quite uniform over the array.
