1982 BB1. Discovered 1982 Jan. 24 by E. Bowell at Anderson Mesa.

Named for Albrecht Duarer of Nuremberg (14711528), master painter, woodcutter, engraver, scholar of the Renaissance. Duarer is noted for his meticulous applications of perspective geometry to art, not only for his rendering of the unusual themes of his times, but also for his beautiful and accurate depictions of scientific instruments and of constellations.
