Named in honor of Jonathan Joseph (1966- ), computer programmer analyst at Cornell University. Joseph has worked on the NASA NEAR, Comet Nucleus Tour and Cassini missions, lending his creativity and technical expertise in support of imaging science goals. He has been instrumental in creating motion picture renderings of minor planets and comets to enhance our understanding of their shapes, sizes and other physical properties. Known for his sense of humor, Joseph is also a fine limerick poet and finger-paint artist. (M 35482) Citation written by B. E. Clark.
