Morando

1931 FC. Discovered 1931 Mar. 16 by M. F. Wolf at Heidelberg.

Named in honor of Bruno Morando (1931-1995), astronomer at the Bureau des Longitudes, Paris, where he has been director for 13 years. A former president of the Sociaetae Astronomique de France, he is now responsible for the reduction of the minor planet data from the Hipparcos satellite. (M 24122)
