Named in honor of Ivan A. Sellin (1939- ), professor at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. In 1976 he received the Humboldt Award. His research interests include photon and atomic collision processes, and the results of his research are given in more than 200 publications. (M 24918) Name proposed by K.-O. Groeneveld.
