Vehrenberg

1981 EH16. Discovered 1981 Mar. 1 by S. J. Bus at Siding Spring.

Named in honor of Hans Vehrenberg (1910-1991) of Dusseldorf: publisher, amateur astronomer, and creator of atlases of the sky. His Falkauer Atlas and Atlas Stellarum are widely used by amateur and professional astronomers interested in or conducting research on minor planets and comets. His other publications include the popular Atlas of Deep-Sky Splendors. (M 9081)

Name proposed by the discoverer following a suggestion by T. P. Kohman and J. U. Gunter.
