Noon Dust

Scientists have been able to better understand the Moon's surface by studying the rocks and soil brought back by the astronauts. Soil from the Moon collected by the first astronauts consisted of tiny pieces of ground-up rock, bits of glass, and scattered chunks of rock. Nothing grows or lives in moon soil. It also contains no animal or plant fossils. However, it is interesting to note that some plants on Earth grow better when the soil has been sprinkled with dust from the Moon!
