The Noon

The Moon does not give off its own light. It does not give us heat. We can see the Moon only because it reflects the Sun's light like a mirror.

Sometimes we see the Moon at night, sometimes in the day. When we see the Moon in the daytime, it does not seem bright at all. But at night the Moon lights up the land.

Several astronauts have been to the Moon. There is no air there to breathe. The astronauts had to wear special protective suits with helmets so that they could breathe and stay warm.

Would you like to go to the Moon?. What would you bring with you?_

Think of something you could leave on the Moon that would tell future astronauts you had been there._
