Over the next few pages I will be referring to my 20 (or so) favorite craters and regions on the Moon. To help locate these on the lunar disc please refer to Figures 10.1a (the major seas) and 10.1b (the actual features) and their keys. This is not a book about the Moon, so the list is far from exhaustive. However, there are enough targets here to keep the webcam imager happy. As with all the images in this book, I have placed south at the top. This matches the visual view through a Newtonian telescope and amateur astronomers observing the Moon and planets have placed south at the top since the dawn of the telescopic era, so I will keep to that tradition.
