How does the quantum hypothesis solve the ultraviolet catastrophe

Without going into detailed mathematics we have seen that quantum discrimination means that Nature imposes a restriction on the energy of an atomic oscillator. Only specific energies are allowed. The higher the frequency, the greater the restriction and the further apart the allowed energy levels. The ultraviolet catastrophe is avoided by these increasing restrictions because at higher frequencies the allowed

energy levels become further and further apart, while all others are forbidden, and do not exist.
