This small and insignificant constellation north of Leo represents a lion cub, although such a shape is not suggested by its stars. Leo Minor was one of the constellations introduced at the end of the 17th century by the Polish astronomer Johannes Hevelius. It contains no objects of interest for users of small telescopes.
