The results of Ichimaru et al. (1987) are non-relativistic. They seem to be sufficient for most applications, because the electron gas is almost ideal at densities and temperatures, where the electrons are relativistic.
The relativistic results for the exchange energy at 0 < 1 were derived by Sha-viv & Kovetz (1972). Spurious misprints, which persisted in that and many subsequent publications, were eliminated by Stolzmann & Blocker (1996), whose result can be written as
